Unethical & Misleading - 2003 Ford Explorer


I had bad experience with the Budget in Aurora Colorado. Said they would take care of two problems, one being the door ajar light that makes tha alarm go off at random times, and the other a switch inthe steering column that allows the key to be taken out-this one you have to fight for about 10 minutes to get the key out.

When I took the car in on Friday morning I waited to hear from them which I never did so I called at 5 to find out they had my truck in pieces and that for them to fix it I would have to pay just under $1000. I asked if this was they way they claimed to take care of the problem-by having me pay for it...The store manager was a complete *** and would not help me with the problem that was reported immediately and the truck was taken to them as soon as possible.

Don't trust these people! Misleading & Unethical

I appreciate the opportunity to respond to this claim, because Kevin has libeled our dealership on various sites.
This customer purchased a Ford Explorer "as-is" for well below blue book value and declined additional warranty. We agreed to fix a taillight, and to check his other concerns and advise him as to the cost to address them. Kevin and our Finance Manager both signed a document detailing what would be paid for by us and what would be paid by Kevin's responsibility. Our service department gave him an estimate for the work, and also suggested that a Ford dealership might have a work-around for the problem that would cost less.
He called our store manager to complain, and during that call, said that the store manager must "go home to a prostitute" and made derogatory remarks about the manager's Hispanic heritage. At that point, the store manager decided that he would not continue the conversation.
While we attempt to ensure 100% customer satisfaction, we will not subject our employees to abuse in order to please this irrational customer.
